To all keyboard enthusiasts,
Imagine being able to craft your very own keyboard design on your iPad and visualize it in 3D/AR. This application offers just that unique creative experience, allowing you to even deploy it as an iOS keyboard.
Start by creating a foundational keyboard through the new keyboard menu where you have the freedom to choose the keyboard type (monolithic or separated), layout (US or JIS), colors (cap, switch, keyboard), click sound (switch type), and cap type (standard, chiclet, typewriter), among other options.
You can then customize your keyboard further by moving, adding, or deleting keys through drag-and-drop functionality or by adjusting individual key settings via the property menu.
The bulk config menu for keys enables swift changes across keys sharing the same settings as the selected key, while the property menu facilitates alterations for selected keys, keyboards, or desks.
Once your design is complete, you can view it in 3D/AR mode or test its functionality in typing mode. Moreover, your custom keyboard can be deployed as an iOS keyboard extension for seamless integration with other iOS applications (add the KB Designer keyboard in General > Keyboard within the Settings App). The deployment process involves assigning the switching keyboard key (mapped to the Caps Lock key) and ensuring minimal interference between keys.
As the iOS keyboard does not require full access permissions, click sounds are not enabled to ensure user privacy and data security.
Note that precise sizing is optimized for the iPad Pro 12.9 inches; on other devices, elements may display in a slightly reduced scale.
